Office to Residential conversion.
With the estate agents retail unit staying in place, the upper 2 floors were to be converted into 3x 1 or 2 bedroom flats.Conversion of office building into apartments. Formerly the upper 2 floors of this building were sub divided into independent office areas. The client is now converting 2 floors to form 1 and 2 bed apartments.

One of the most important and demanding parts to this construction was the construction of sound proof walls and floors. The floors and walls received so many layers of plasterboard and flooring that an enormous amount of materials needed to be man-handled into the property and up the narrow staircase. To add to this and the restricted location for dropping off the materials, the manager had to arrange this to be done in the early hours of the morning.

The kitchens were finished with quartz worktops and AEG appliances. A full rewire and heating system were installed as well as some Velux rooflights into the old roof structure.A communal entry phone will be installed together with a security system.
